The Zodiac

The Zodiac

The twelve images of the Zodiac on this Art Cube were created in Italy during the Renaissance.  Each symbol is represented both by it's figural symbol, such as Taurus, as well as it's constellation showing the relative position of the stars.

The illustrated storycard explains the history of this kind of painting (found in Illuminated manuscripts (religious books) decorated with detailed illustrations, often with real gold-leaf).

Includes an illustrated storycard with information on the significance of each image and a matching gift box.  Produced in collaboration with the Morgan Library and Museum, New York.
