Paul Gauguin: Post-Impressionist

Paul Gauguin: Post-Impressionist

Nine great images by the artist Paul Gauguin including several taken from the massive work titled "Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?", painted in Tahiti where Gaugin ended his days painting many of his best-known works.

A strong-willed man, fired with artistic passion, Gauguin found 19th Century European middle-class values and morals suffocating.  He abandoned his wife and five children at the age of 43 moving to the South Pacific for 'artistic liberation'.

Includes a large-size color storycard with historical information in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Russian and Japanese.  Produced in collaboration with the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Like this theme? For more titles related to impressionism click here.
