Nine beautiful Asian sculptures of the likeness of Buddha.  A spiritual leader and philosopher, who lived in northern India in approximately 500 b.c. is said have found the 'secret to happiness'. Includes Japanese, Chinese and Tibetan examples in wood and bronze, spanning one thousand years of worship from the 5th to 15th centuries.

Offered in a matching gift box, this lovely decorative object in pleasing tones of golds and greys provides an intriguing introduction to the subject.  Includes a detailed storycard with a general introduction about Buddha and the history of Buddhism, descriptions of each statue and the particular relevance of its detailing in the Buddhist tradition.
